I want you to see a clear path forward each step of the way.

You've made a huge step by seeking out a counselor, and I know how intimidating it can be to start the process of looking for help.

I know you've been hurting for a while and you're ready to feel better. So I want to make this process easy and accessible for you.

It's a huge decision to choose a counselor, and I want to make sure you get the best possible fit for you. So the first step is to reach out by clicking the button below. This will take you to a page where you are able to begin an email conversation using the available form—from there you are welcome to complete your consultation form and schedule a 20 minute phone chat, which will allow us to explore if we are a good fit. I can answer any questions you may have and let you know more about what to expect while working with me.

If we find that we're not a good fit, no big deal! I’ll be happy to provide you with referrals which may be a better fit for you; it's most important to me that you receive the best quality of care in a way that works for you.

If we find that we are a good fit, then great! I’ll walk you through the process of scheduling your first session and setting up a schedule for your appointments.

Your First Session

Before your first session, you'll be able to fill out all of your paperwork via a HIPAA-secure Client Portal so that we can jump in during your first session and make the most of your time!

It's absolutely normal to feel nervous before your first session. (And I'll tell you a secret—I get nervous too!) Sometimes it helps to know what to expect...

When you arrive, you'll wait in our sitting area where you're welcome to have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or water. When it's time for your session, I’ll step out and welcome you into my office.

During this first session, we'll spend our time getting to know one another while I learn more about what is bringing you into counseling and more about you, your life, and your history.

We'll discuss your goals so that we can make sure we're on the same page as we work together and so that we can make sure our time together is useful for you. We'll continue to evaluate your goals throughout the 3 months, 6 months, or however long we work together to make sure that what we're doing is working—and if we find it isn't, we'll know we need to change something to work better for you!

Throughout this process, from the first contact through your graduation from therapy, I’ll be with you every step of the way.
