You can experience accelerated healing and growth.
Feel the freedom to process trauma, heal negative beliefs, and shift relationship patterns without the rush of limited time.
Does it feel like weekly 50-minute therapy simply hasn’t been enough to help you live the life you want?
You might have had the feeling that something deeper has yet to change, but you’re not quite sure why you haven’t gotten there with all the time you’ve already invested in therapy. You’ve been doing the hard work, and you now cognitively understand new things. Yet your mind and body are still stuck, so you’re curious about how more intensive, somatic (body-based) therapy can help.
Perhaps you’ve been meaning to get into weekly therapy for a while now, but your schedule has been so busy and demanding that a weekly therapy appointment feels more overwhelming than supportive, more like another thing you have to do than something you want to do. Not to mention you might sit on a waitlist for weekly therapy for weeks or months in order to get in with a therapist you actually connect with.
Maybe you’re needing help right now, and you don’t want to spend months or even years in the traditional weekly model of therapy treatment to feel better.
Or you’re a new client to therapy and you’re ready to dive in and get to work right away.
The traditional model of weekly therapy is shifting to meet your needs.
For years, I’ve watched clients do the hard work of weekly therapy, and I’ve seen them make great shifts in their “knowing.” But there was a gap that we just couldn’t fill.
I searched for answers, as a client and a therapist, and I found new models to fill this gap. I’ve seen shifts created in these somatic-based sessions which would traditionally take months.
When I introduced these models to my practice, I noticed a barrier to my clients reaching the healing I knew was possible for them—50-minute sessions weren’t working. It was too difficult to open up those deep wounds only to have to seal it all back up and get back to normal life in such a short period of time.
Traditional therapy models are based in medical and insurance protocol and were not what suited my clients best—intensives presented the answer.
Perhaps you’ve heard about EMDR, but what are Brainspotting and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?
Brainspotting and ART are both forms of somatic, brain-body therapies. The developers of both were originally trained in EMDR before developing these modalities. You can read more about how they compare to EMDR here (for Brainspotting) and here (for ART).
From my experience as both client and therapist, Brainspotting and ART are both gentler and faster than EMDR, and thus I’ve chosen to offer both over EMDR. However, no one therapy is suited for every client—any of the three may be a good fit for you.
During our work together, we’ll explore whether ART or Brainspotting is the best fit for you, or we may even combine the two to best suit your needs.
Brainspotting/ART Intensive FAQs
-
Brainspotting & ART Intensives are personalized treatment programs that allow you to have faster access to select appointment times and access faster healing; they're designed to support your preferred schedule and timeline for your treatment goals.
Brainspotting & ART Intensives allow the opportunity to progress through your symptoms and concerns in a more succinct and focused way without the limitations of a 50-minute session. Sessions during the intensive would be 2-3 hours for one day or 1.5 to 2 hours for multiple days.
An intensive format may decrease overall treatment time because time isn't spent on:
checking in at the beginning of each session
addressing current crises and concerns
focusing on stabilizing and coping skills that clients won’t need after healing
assisting clients in regaining composure at the end of the session because this is built into the work and most often not even needed

Before we get into the Intensive (the part where you’ll engage in Brainspotting & ART), we’ll meet for a Pre-Intensive Interview to determine the goal(s) of the time we’ll have together. We will look at what your life looks like now (what things are currently stressful in your life, what your support system look like, how you cope when you’re overwhelmed with big emotions and uncomfortable physical sensations, etc.), and where you want healing or growth.
Next, I'll send you your personalized workbook. In your own time before the intensive, you'll complete the "before your session" portion of your workbook to best prepare and get in the most helpful mindset for your session.
During the intensive, we simultaneously work on decreasing the pain you’re feeling while also increasing your ability to connect with more enjoyable feelings, thoughts, and memories. We do this with deep-level brain processing in Brainspotting & ART and learning which specific coping strategies work best for you.
Depending on your goal(s) for the intensive, we may spend time processing relationships and events of your past or present and/or your worries for the future. This process is very personal and customized to you.
After the Brainspotting & ART Intensive, you'll complete the "after your session" portion of your workbook, and we’ll meet for a Post-Intensive Interview to reflect on what you processed and learned, what was meaningful to you, and how you let these new insights and shifts permeate into more of your life moving forward.

Investment & Program Information
Personalized Brainspotting & ART intensives are half-day to multi-day programs that include a customized treatment plan specific to your goals. Fees are based on your needs and program design, and are communicated ahead of time in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
Intensive sessions are typically $150-200/hour and may be eligible for partial reimbursement using out-of-network benefits. You can explore your potential benefits using the tool at this link.
Intensive packages (intake session, 2-3 hour intensive session) start at $599.*
I offer free phone consultations to discuss your needs and interest in a personalized intensive program.
*For current clients looking to add on therapy intensives to their care, please note your rate may be different; please discuss with me to develop your program.
How is intensive therapy more cost effective and time efficient than weekly therapy?
Weekly therapy typically includes:
10-15 minutes of checking in from the last session
20-30 minutes of processing
10-15 minutes of closing the session
You might spend a month working on one specific stressor, costing almost $550 for the 4 weekly therapy sessions.
But realistically, stuff comes up between sessions you may want to discuss, you may not want to work on processing the next session (you might be tired, you may know you have to return to work after, or it may feel just feel too big to open up again and again), and the focus of your session week-to-week might shift significantly, extending your time to reach your goals.
So you might actually be in weekly therapy for multiple months ($550 for X number of months) and still not feel fully resolved in the thing bringing you in now.
Intensive therapy typically includes:
10-15 minutes of checking in, establishing session focus
90-120 minutes of Brainspotting/ART processing
10-15 minutes closing the session
You might fully resolve one or multiple stressors within only a few hours, costing around $600. 2-3 hours of Brainspotting/ART processing is equivalent to at least double that amount of talk therapy sessions so you’re doing more work, in less time, needing less therapy overall—and you won’t get distracted by life’s events on the way there.
Plus, you’ll spend less on symptom-managing medications (that may not have felt like they were really helping anyway), and you won’t have to keep taking time off of work or paying for childcare to attend your sessions.
Overall, you’ll feel better sooner, utilize less money on complicating factors (child care, time lost at work, etc.), and spend less on therapy as a whole.
The bottom line is…
just a few hours can change your life.

In general, yes. Many insurance companies (typically PPOs) reimburse a portion of the cost of psychotherapy. For insurance purposes, I am considered an out-of-network provider.
It's best to determine the exact details of your policy ahead of time, including what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers and if your insurance will reimburse several hours of therapy in one day or one week.
I will provide you with a Superbill for all direct contact therapy services included in the program.
Please know that the insurance company requires a diagnosis code as a reason for treatment. I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card in order to get details about your specific plan.
I’m happy to provide more information to help with this process. Mentaya is a resource I partner with to provide assistance with out-of-network submission and reimbursement. You can learn more here.

A 1-day intensive offers a multitude of resources and can help to either address negative relational and self-perception patterns or significantly decrease the devastating effects of single event or single category of trauma (e.g. negative thoughts, disturbing emotions and body sensations, phobias, experiences of a particular type of trauma by one individual, etc.).
While significant healing can occur in one intensive, Complex PTSD deserves more treatment than one intensive. Many clients experiencing Complex PTSD may continue to work on their trauma histories through monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly intensives.
-
Participating in a 2-3-day intensive can create impactful change more efficiently than just weekly, 50-minute sessions or even one intensive. They are ideal for those hoping to address more than one experience or categories of trauma or multiple experiences within a category of trauma.
We will identify what format is best for you during your initial consultation.
Intensive sessions are similar to going on a personal retreat. It’s best to allow time outside of sessions to be unscheduled or filled only with self-care activities like exercise, body work (acupuncture or massage), and creative expression – drawing, painting, cooking, journaling, etc.
-
Intensives can be scheduled online or in-person.
Please note I can only work with you online if you are in the states of Tennessee, Colorado, or Florida.
My office is located in Ooltewah, TN, minutes from Chattanooga, TN and North GA. There are multiple options for accommodations and dining if you are coming from out of town.
-
You just need to be in a state I'm licensed in at the time of your session for me to work with you. If you are out of state, you can travel to Tennessee, Colorado, or Florida for the intensive. Some people like traveling for the intensive as it adds to the experience of having a get-away to purely focus on healing and growth.

We’ll start with an email consultation and a 20 minute phone chat so that we can see how we connect and whether an intensive is a good fit for you.
If so, we’ll get your sessions scheduled, and I’ll send your treatment paperwork to be completed within one week and your customized workbook to be completed before your intensive.
